Sourendro & Soumyojit

​Sourendro & Soumyojit is an Indian musical duo comprising pianist Sourendro Mullick and vocalist Soumyojit Das. Known for their innovative fusion of Indian classical music with Western elements, they have been active since 2005.

The duo's career began with a European concert tour in 2005, leading to the establishment of their brand "You & I." They have since performed in over a thousand concerts globally, collaborating with renowned artists such as Asha Bhosle, Kavita Krishnamurti, Rekha Bhardwaj, and German musician Stephan Stoppok. Their notable projects include "Tagore & We," offering contemporary interpretations of Rabindranath Tagore's compositions, and "Jaya Hey," a rendition of the Indian national anthem featuring 40 legendary musicians. ​ Their experimental approach extends to blending Tagore's songs with Western melodies, as seen in performances like fusing "Boro Asha Kore Eshechi Go Kache Deke Nao" with "We Shall Overcome."
